Garden Floral Dresses

I’m having a summer romance with decadent garden florals. This Alice + Olivia dress in dramatic black awash with red blooms and meandering green vines literally brings to my senses a walk amongst garden blooms. So, that’s precisely what I did for this shoot.

      I have to say that this season floral prints do feel groundbreaking, So what sets them apart from you garden-variety florals?  It would have to be the drama — lush, colorful and reminiscent of verdant gardens. 

    The styles I’m gravitating towards feature ornate blooms like the signature prints of Dolce & Gabbana, Zimmerman or Gucci, only this season, you can also find the most romantic blossoms at Anthropologie, Alice + Olivia, and Reformation. 

    If you are looking for something more understated, innocent even, chintz and wallpaper prints from Rabecca Taylor’s La Vie line or Love Shack Fancy are definitely the way to go and are two brands I’ve also purchased for summer. I bought this Alice + Olivia dress in particular because it felt so elegant and classic I could see myself bringing it on a trip to Europe ten years from now, to Italy, more specifically, for my own version of La Dolce Vita.
