Wear-Now Florals

When a summer romance still blazes into fall, you start to believe it might be true love. And that’s how I feel about wearing florals. My love for this printed dress by Alice + Olivia in particular, is one case in point, because I can’t stop wearing it. So, I thought I’d show you how I’ve been stepping out in florals and slowly transitioning my wardrobe from summer to fall. One of my favorite weekend looks while the temperatures are on the warmer side, (which is definitely the case here in L.A. September to October), is to pair a floaty floral dress with espadrilles and a straw bag for daytime.

Then, it’s simply heels for date-night or a slightly dressier affair. Whether you choose a sandal or closed-toe pumps, just add a statement bag, and it’s a classic look that you can’t get wrong. I’m wearing these Louise et Cie pumps from Nordstrom and a favorite Chloé bag. And, a blazer or leather jacket looks smart for crisper temperatures. 

For girls night or a casual weekend outing, booties like these pale pink ones from Stuart Weitzman plus a tiny tee underneath are my favorite way to get more mileage out of a summer dress. A leather jacket adds another layer and keeps a trendier, edgy vibe going.
