My favorite thing about the Bridgerton trend in fashion right now is how with the right pieces, your look can embody both past and present in a thoroughly modern way. It all comes down to choosing the right pieces!

So, how to pull off a Regency vibe for the 21st century? Think floral prints, classic accessories and delicate jewelry. My favorite brands to achieve the look: Reformation, LoveShackFancy, Rebecca Taylor, Sau Lee, En Saison, ASTR. 

First step, choose your canvas. It all comes down to the details. A darling dress is definitely the hero-piece to fast-track a royal look. But you can also choose the same elements of this season’s it-dress, like an empire waist, corset details, or puff sleeves and incorporate them into your look with a top with similar details. Then pair it with jeans and a dressy sandal and that’s the perfect modern twist!

When choosing fabrics think atmosphere. It’s springtime. Gauzy, airy fabrics like silk, satin and linen in soft pastels are pure romance. Choose midi lengths perfect for summer breezes that you’d be comfortable wearing to a picnic or afternoon tea are also perfect as a guest for spring/summer weddings along with pared down delicate jewelry, ditsy florals, or toile prints, like I’m wearing here.
