To be honest, I'm not usually a sale girl: I get overwhelmed digging through lots of stuff and would rather think ahead to next season. But, this sale is so good and I’ve found some fall/winter pieces I definitely missed out on last year: like BlankNYC leather jackets, teddy coats and cardigans and knee-high boots. So, I've rounded up my favorite picks for you because 1) it's the easiest way to shop the massive inventory and only way is by browsing well-edited selections and 2) because that's what I'm here for! As bloggers, we study up on the sales, get insider scoops on the fast selling items (psst: from Nordstrom sale last year, Shopstyle reports the most clicked categories were women's skinny jeans, boots and sneakers and top-clicked brands were BP, Free People, Zella, LUSH, Madewell and Topshop to name a few, so you can count on those selling out the fastest) and we always have our on eye on the latest trends and timeless treasures.
Ok, so you missed early access so now what? Start making that wish list now so you can add to bag immediately and plan to stay up late on Thursday, July 19 when the sale begins at the strike of midnight, 12PM PST because you can bet that the best items will soon sell out with an hour to two hours time as they did last year. There will be restocks of inventory so don't dispair if something sells out you can keep an eye on your wish list items by checking back regularly. Then, as soon as your done shopping, sign up for Nordstrom Rewards for early access next year! Tip: if a family member is a cardmember, you can be added to their Rewards account to browse and shop early like I did. You're not required to even use the card to make a purchase but your do get Nordstrom Rewards points ($40 reward for your first purchase to be exact.) While everyone can browse the sale early before public access starts, you need the card to be able to add items to your shopping bag during Early Access. (Reminder: Everyone can shop Friday, July 20!) Since my mom is a card member, I asked her to add me, she called Nordstrom Customer Service, I was added and she gave me the last 4 digits of our now shared card and I was up and shopping by entering it on Nordstrom.com before my card was even in the mail.
